ABOUT JANET MCCLENNAHAN

Observing the essence of a child or of wildlife is one of McClennahan's special talents.  Her love of capturing emotion is reflected in her bronze works of figures and wildlife.  Equally comfortable sculpting people or animals, McClennahan's artworks are alive with expression.  Her work has been described as dynamic, beautiful and powerful, capturing emotions and flowing with life and energy.

"My intent is to express my observations of life, personally felt, by arrangement of the material in a pattern or design, to deliberately arouse in the viewer the same emotions I felt.  It is very gratifying when viewers respond to my work in this way."

McClennahan has been casting her work since 1984 and presently maintains her studio in the beautiful historic town of Fredericksburg, Texas.  She and her husband, Steve, also own  Snowfire Gallery in Fredericksburg.
